NYX SMOKEY AND BRONZE KITS!.... I'M LOVING THEM!

I know what I'm about to say sounds completely shallow, materialistic and irrational.... but I just can't help it. I hate going away. Not because I hate holidays, I don't I absolutely freaking love them! The reason I hate going away is all down to packing! I have major anxiety at the prospect of losing my luggage, or something in my luggage breaking, or even exploding. I know, I know I sound like a crazy biatch. I have never actually lost my luggage, nor have I had the nasty experience of broken straighteners etc... yet somehow the thought fills me fear.

Now I know that in the general scheme of things makeup and all things assoicated with the idea of beauty are in fact insignificant. When I look at the women and children dying in Pakistan I feel soo blessed with my life, we in the Western world have it soooo bloody easy. So yes this is a mini plea, I guess, why don't we all give whatever we would spend on makeup or skincare this month to Pakistan, because as I just said it really is sooo minuscule when you look at the bigger picture. Anyway rant over haha........ I love makeup and I love my makeup. Not only do I love my makeup I have also invested a heck of a lot of money and time into it. That is why the idea of some absent minded bloke throwing my luggage around fills me with dread. When I went away two weeks ago, I had the clever idea to pack things that I really didn't care a lot about. I mean I would rather not risk taking my 5 MAC palettes away, only to find some colours have smashed. So these these two little beauties came in handy. I love NYX, and although here in the UK it's not readily available, I purchase it from Joy's cosmetics on Ebay. She is lovely and the shipping only takes around 5 days, which is amazing! So before I went away I placed an order for some cream blushers (review coming soon) and these two mini palettes. I expected them to be okish, and was pleasantly surprised at just how much I love them. They are reasonably priced even with the shipping they only cost around £10. You get 9 super finely milled, pigmented eyeshadows and two cute lipglosses that will suit any skin tone. They are really small and easily transportable. I used these and only these whilst away and never got bored. The smokey kit has shades great for day and night. Whilst the bronze shades are ideal for day time summer looks. These are great for those of you who don't have huge storage systems that can hold palette upon palette. Also If you are interested the Nude to Nude one of these is supposed to dupe the Naked palette quite well, at a fraction of the price.

So yes.... head to Ebay or for you lucky gals from the USA to Ulta or Walmart and grab yourselves a bargain!

  12. I want to try out some NYX shadows soon. I read online that although Ulta does carry some shadows, there are 100 some out there in the world INSANE. I didn't know Walmart sold NYX, though. I'll have to check that out despite the fact that I HATE Walmart. Will Nyx break the curse?
