NO FUSS, NO FRILLS, 5 MINUTE EYE MAKE UP

MAC paint pots have been a favourite of mine for some time now. I suddenly realised I had never shared my favourite in a jiffy eye make up options with you. There are some days when packing, blending and smudging can seem like a chore too far. I know that the thought of wearing, what is deemed by many as an eye shadow base may be daunting, but..... what are they for. Well in my book, eye shadow bases are designed to stay put, remain crease free, and add definition to other colours. Some MAC paint pots are a tad boring, but work great as an eye shadow base. The two I am going to share with you are beautiful, in their own right. Yes they are both browns........... boooooo neutrals, but hey I'm never going to change.

Lets begin with Constructivist. This is possibly the most beautiful paint pot to look at. It acts brilliantly as a base for any copper or shimmery brown shadow, this is absolutely stunning alone though. It gives a subtle, sheer and shimmery colour. It's not boring, or one dimensional, it's interesting and complement worthy. Team with some brown Kohl liner on the water line. et voilĂ ! A subtle, pretty brown look in minutes.

Quite Natural is in many ways similar to Constructivist; It's brown, rich and subtle. This paint pot is not shimmery, but matte. However again this shade is not flat or boring. It adds a beautiful sheen to the lid, truly natural and perfect for day time, especially long days at the office.

Add these to your Christmas list!

Are there any other quick eye shadow routines you would like to share with us all?

  1. Thanks for sharing. I love both of these!

I usually prime my eyes w/ Mary Kay eye primer, put a MAC paint pot as a base, sweep an eyeshadow using my blending brush, add mascara and I'm done. That's if I want a quick eye look and don't want to go bare.

  25. I love this kind of eyes shadows because they are natural, make a really bright efect and also you can put them so quickly.
I normally use Shiseido shadows in this context, which are wonderfull and variety.
    Thanks for the advice.
