THE NEW ELF STIPPLING BRUSH

I hope you all had a fantabulous Christmas! I had a glorious day. A traditional white Christmas by the fire. I spent the entire day in jimjams and cherished every moment! I will be doing a little Christmas haul for you all over the next few days. I thought I'd give you a sneak peak at a little purchase I made on the run up to Christmas. Can you believe it's all over for another year? I can't and I feel a little blue! Any way here is my two cents on the new Elf Stippling brush.....

After reading so many negative reviews of this brush I was hesitant to buy it at all.  I decided however to put my dubious nature aside, and hand over the £3.50! I’m a big spender! I left all expectations at the Paypal checkout, and waited on the delivery of this questionable product. I may write a blog, and give what I hope is useful advice; but I am just like you, I read reviews on everything before I buy; to evade any disappointment I may experience. This buying a product with low expectations was an old experience for me, and reminded me of times past.

When I opened my Elf order I was pleasantly surprised by this brush. I had read many reviews stating it was ‘rough’ and poor quality. I was expecting a scratchy, malting brush; what I got however was a neat little stippling number. Sure it’s not MAC, but it’s amazing for the price. It’s the sort of brush that I could run over my face all day, it’s so silky soft. It blends foundation nicely; but the main use for this brush is subtle blush application. If you know anything about brushes, you will know that stippling brushes; and especially those made from badger hair apply product more sparingly, therefore giving a light dusting, rather than a caking!  This is not natural hair; but it’s doing a damn good job of faking it!

I would highly recommend giving this little one a whirl ladies, It's not going to break your bank; and may leave you pleasantly surprised!

  3. I may have to try this. I ordered a sigma one when they did free shipping to the uk and I was so disapointed with it. It's not dense enough and sheds and smells!

  5. I had a sigma one, after 2 months it fell apart that has never happened to any of my brushes before. I was shocked to be honest!

I know what you mean though Hannah, like I said I prefer it for blush application too x

  9. @marcy that's such a shame, cheaper brushes are often the way to go, we all get bored of things quickly!

  17. I bought the 11 piece ELF brush set and I can honestly say I love most of them. I think people who are devoted to MAC and other higher end brands can become "brush snobs" (understandable really) but there are plenty of other great brushes out there for wayyyy better prices than MAC. ELF's brushes are a perfect example. Great review!!!
