I am fully aware that today is spot army Thursday, and eyeliner is far from suitable spot fighting advice. However, this week has not entailed much in the way of skincare. Next week I shall be pondering face masks, but of yet I am still trying a potential Holy Grail mask. Anyway back to this lovely little product.
I was perusing the Clinique counter at my local department store; when I spotted this little pot. It was almost calling out to me. Earlier in the day whilst applying my makeup, I had spent five or so minutes mixing eye shadows with fix+ to create the perfect warm brown liner; frustrating and rather pitiful I suppose. I dislike a lot of brown eyeliners; as they are dull, and awfully flat in tone. I am a neutral girl, and my everyday makeup typically entails Mac All That Glitters and Antiqued. Yes I am a habitual creature! I tend to favour warmer toned looks as I have very yellow undertones. Well this was my reasoning behind this little purchase, and I'm sticking to it! This is a beautiful product; if I was to compare the tones running through this liner, I would say; imagine the most splendid red fox, running through a muddy meadow, or simply take the name ‘Black Honey’ a perfect description. This product is effortless to apply; and has outstanding longevity. It slides across my eye beautifully with my MAC 210, or sigma E10. It gives any neutral look a lovely warmth, and has a slight sheen to it; however subtle the shimmer may be.
This is a great little product; and at £13.50 it’s not overly expensive. A small brush is also supplied; though I can’t say I’ll use it. I would certainly favour the Clinique cream liners to Mac’s or Bobbi browns; as I find them easier to apply.
Thanks for reading, and once again I apologise for the absence of the spot fighting tip of the week. It shall rear its head next week I promise.
