Its been a refreshing start to the year, 2011 has been a delight so far I must admit. With only a few University related things to do, I have had the month to myself to spend as I have wished - Retail therapy in abundance? Yes Please! I have a few little treats to share with you which have aided my hopeful start to a New Year. With the abysmal northern weather conditions to contend with, you will notice a lack in lip product as I have been opting for nourishment rather than glamour, a wise alternative wouldn't you agree? So as the first month of another year draws to an end, I hope these bundles of joy give you purchase ideas for the upcoming month.

I'll begin with the lip product of choice recently; By Terry Baume De Rose. This is of course a cult product, and loved by almost everyone who encounters it. I won't bore you with too much detail, all I'll say is give this a whirl. It repairs and hydrates instantly! Perfect for Valentines and kisses with your special someone (Ray Ray) Read my previous blather here.

My foundations of choice this month have been Chanel Mat Lumiere and Vichy Dermablend. I use the Chanel as an all over base, and the Dermablend to conceal any problematic areas. I love both of these foundations, and together they work miracles. achieving a flawless complexion is within reach with these fantastic finds.

I have been using and loving the Dermablend powder; this product is so finely milled allowing for a very natural powder application. This product is an even better example than the Mac Prep and Prime.

I have been using on Lisa Eldridge's recommendation the Clinique airbrush concealer. This is so much better than the Touché Éclat. It adds just the right amount of coverage, and luminosity to the under-eye area and is now a Holy Grail product in my daily makeup application.

Chanel Blushers have been a favourite treat this month, I love the texture and colour pay off of these products. They are pricey but so worth the money. it makes me feel like I'm adding a touch of glamour to my everyday makeup.

I have been enjoying cream eye shadows this month. I prefer them to powders lately as they are quick and easy to apply. My go to colour has been Rimmel's 006 mousse shadow. The staying power of this is outstanding, it just doesn't budge.

During this month, I have experienced sensitivity around my T zone area. This may be due to the harsh weather conditions of the North. I have been using Vichy's Aqualia Thermal (review soon) This can be used as a mask or a moisturiser. I have been applying it morning and night as a moisturiser to act as a 'bandage' against the unruly conditions outside.

I am such a wimp when it comes to brushing my wet hair, it makes me wince! I therefore decided to buy the famous Tangle teaser, and can report it does exactly what is says on the box!

L'occatane hand cream is a cult favourite and a must have for me! I love it and always will! enough said.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my Favourite products from January.
