FROM CORBRIDGE TO LA

This week my brother and I took a little trip to the idyllic village of Corbridge in Northumberland. It’s a tranquil little place filled with ornate shops and tea rooms. It wasn't the most beautiful of afternoons; in fact it was downright dull, but none the less I enjoyed taking some photos to document my quickie visit. I am always more likely to remember and place if it has a lovely sweet shop; I have a unrelenting sweet tooth (tut tut) my favourite sweet being the love it or hate it blackjacks mmmmmm. I thought id show you a few of my snaps, I am loving getting to grips with my camera.

This week I also gave into the hype and jumped on the Lauren Conrad novel bandwagon. I am a few chapters into LA candy and have to admit, she has a pleasant writing style. It’s a casual, no hassle read; a nice relaxing choice, without being overly challenging on time or intellect. I must admit that I was embarrassed as I had to scowl the ‘Teen’ section of my local Waterstones, I haven’t done that since Twilight.

I hope you all have a lovely week, and don’t forget there is still time to enter my Disney Couture giveaeway.

  4. That looks like such a cute little town! I've been a bit wary of the Lauren Conrad books as I can't really take her seriously but I might have to grit my teeth and give her books a try.
